Painter, graphic artist, ceramist, awarded as merited artist of Russia. Alexander Zadorin was born 1941 in Kemerowo. He started his education at the Johannsohn-School, the Repin-college of art in Leningrad. In the year 1969 he finished he studies at the college of applied art in Leningrad, where he had studied in the departments glass and ceramics by professor Wasilkowskij and professor Markow. Since 1973 he has been a member of the Russian artist association. From 1977 to 1986 he has also been a member of the famous group of ceramists "A Composition" and he has been a member of the vanguard artist club Sankt Petersburg academy of new art (СПАСИ). 1998 he has been awarded with the diploma of the Russian academy of arts. Zadorin has participated in many international projects, symposia and competitions as well as in many exhibitions in Russia and abroad. His works are in the Russian Museum and in other important art museums in Russia. In October 2006 he died after a serious illness in Sankt Petersburg.
